Mamavation Monday - Cumulative Weight Loss total

Watch Lives ChangeWell, this past week has been a GREAT one! Last Monday night I had so much fun attending MamavationTV, even though my computer eventually got a bit behind. It was hilarious watching Leah laugh and shake her head at her video, when all the rest of us had already watched it! Very entertaining! (Sorry Leah!) But eventually my video also got behind, and when I was announced as the winner of a GRUVE I wasn't aware! Ha ha! Everyone was congratulating me in the chat and I was like, "Thanks, but what did I win?" My Gruve arrived on Friday and I got it all set up that evening and have worn it every minute of every day. It is very interesting seeing how I sleep at night. It looks like I sleep well until about 4am and then I start tossing and turning.

I weighed in Friday for the first "real" time since I had been sick, and wholy moly. I was surprised! Not that I had expected to gain weight, but I sure hadn't expected to lose 6.6 lbs in the month of July, bringing my cumulative total to 18.7 lbs since May 29th. People are constantly asking me if I have lost weight, which really boosts my confidence and motivates me even more! I looked at myself in a full length mirror this morning and actually realized, wow, I can tell a difference! :-) Like a quote I read once, "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels" I still have a lot of weight to lose, but if almost 20 lbs is making me feel this good about myself, I am definitely staying on track! I would love to be under 200 by my sister's wedding in March! (Is losing 69 lbs possible by then?!?)

So my goals for this week are to:
  • Stay the course! Under 1800 calories per day and over 100 ounces of water per day
  • Get active! I am still in the Assessment week with my Gruve, so it is pretty much staying green all the time but I have to give myself something to be challenged with when this week is over!
And just because I haven't seen this low of a number in a while, I am posting a couple pics of my starting and current weight!

Congratulations to Jule (@jamnsfld76) for being named the Sister of the Week! I consider Julie to be not only my Mamavation Sista, but my Gruve sista as well! We both won Gruves last Monday night and we kept each other informed as to when they arrived! You can read more about Julie here.

SUPER big thanks to Lori, @gutimom for sponsoring this week's Mamavation Monday Blogging Carnival! You should see all the Avon swag she is providing in the giveaway! No, really, you should see it, click here!

By the way, have you ever heard of the BodyBugg? I have wanted one of these ever since they made their debut on the famous tv show, The Biggest Loser. KyokoCake is having a giveaway on her blog, "like a fat kid loves cake", and one lucky winner will receive a BodyBugg! I already have a Gruve, but would love to have a BodyBugg! Hurry up and enter, the giveaway ends Sunday 8/8!

That's great!! Almost 20 pounds! Awesome, lady! Let's see, it took about 3 months to lose 20, so it should take about 9 more months to lose another 60? You could do a lot by March! 7 months away. At least 40 pounds based on what you've lost already.

RAH RAH!!!

I'm here for your amusement darling! About the weight loss, it's kinda funny. There are several times when I got sick, injured, etc and I actually lost instead of gained. I think it's just about switching things up...even when you take a week off cause you are sick. The body will always give up weight when you make it do things it's not used to. XXOO

Congrats on the loss, girlfriend! You're doing fantastic. I think 69 lbs by March is totally doable, but even if you lost 40, it would make a huge difference! Set those goals small and you'll make it. Of course, we're totally here for you as well.

Hehe, my professor said that in my Behavior Modification class: "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels." Works well, doesn't it? :) That's so cool that people are asking if you've lost weight. Soon, they're all going to come to you for advice. lol
